One word to describe your body #BodyImageMovement #MondayBlogs

Inspired by the video posted on twitter by @tarynbrumfitt I wondered when we start to think negatively about our bodies. Taryn asked several woman to use one word to describe their body and you can guess the outcome. Wobbly, not perfect, short, fat etc.  Did we always feel like this? And what about boys?

So I asked my students.

The answers underlined came up more than 10 times. And I would like to also add point that the answers in italic and bold are when I asked students in a mixed gender group and the other answers, when a student was on their own. I am sure there is a whole new blog post on that. But what interested me what the lack of positive words and how FAT was in all age groups. Seems that we start to think negatively about our body before we start senior school.
